Farewell to many clients

Changes, such as the move from Holland to Germany, of course have some sad consequences.  Most of my friends and loyal clients understand my choice.  Sadly, however, some did not accept it very well.

Making choices is not always easy, but I see this as a chance to spread my wings and to work with you more efficiently in finding and sustaining a healthy life.  Already this expansion is reaping rewards by providing me a greater chance for knowledge and self-development and the ability to better share them with you.

My sincere thanks goes out to all of you for the years of trust you placed in me and for allowing me to work with you towards enjoying a healthier life.

Off to a flying start toward international practice!

It has been exciting, I must admit, moving to larger quarters just across the border in Germany, less than an hour’s drive from Harderwijk.  With more and more of the world discovering the rewards of alternative medicine, shiatsu is right in the vanguard of this important movement.  Here, I am allowed to send out informational flyers, even hang posters.  The enthusiasm here grows day by day!

“Will you have an Open House tour?”  “Are you going to give demonstrations of shiatsu method?”  These are questions I am asked increasingly every day.  And yes, very soon I will be doing both these things and more.  Although most patients are still coming from Holland, every week I am receiving more and more German patients.

The new, more spacious practice room is very conducive to workshops, etc., and already has been used for them several times.

Basic Namikoshi method in Spanish

Recently I did have a very special course, organised by the CSMBK and the NSE institute, given by Angel Chicharro Garcia. Angel is connected to the Spanish school for Shiatsu. It was a great experience to watch this man work and to be given the possibility to learn from him. Especially the attention and the attitude while working did have his full attention. Again I experienced that learning shiatsu never ends. The European Shiatsu Association is likely to organise more courses in the near future together with the Culturele Stichting voor Massage en Bewegingskunsten (CSMBK) in Den Haag. I allready did have several training days with Yoshinori Miyashita, general teacher of the CSMBK.
